When your child is unwell, it can be one of the most frightening and isolating experiences a parent faces. You tell your story over and over, yet still feel unheard. You’re reassured that it’s “normal,” that they’ll “grow out of it,” while your instinct tells you something isn’t right.
If your child doesn’t quite fit the mold — and the only solution offered is medication — know that there are often deeper answers to explore and more supportive pathways available.
Here at Natural Body Lab the focus is on investigating and understanding the reasons ‘why?‘ We consider the underlying biochemistry and nutritional requirements, and from there we begin to create a plan.
Your plan is as individual as your child and their needs- and it will be created with the intention of making things as streamlined and simple as possible- with view to reduce the overwhelm and confusion, and minimize the load on parents and carers.
Plans will include specialised dietary advice, clinical naturopathic guidance and supplements where appropriate.
At Natural Body Lab we look beyond behavioural labels and surface-level diagnoses.
While behaviours can tell us that something is out of balance, they rarely explain why. Instead of focusing what ‘we already know’, we look deeper into the biochemistry- nutrition status, gut function, methylation pathways, mineral balance, inflammatory drivers and stress physiology — to understand what may be dysregulating the nervous system.
By identifying and correcting any underlying imbalances, we can restore stability and calm. This in turn supports clearer thinking, steadier moods and a more regulated nervous system.
During our 90min Initial session, we will discuss your child’s current health concerns as well as take a full case history. We will unpack their daily routines around food intake, sleep and lifestyle / habits, and then discuss potential options for either further testing or diet changes. No actual testing will be done during this session.
Often it is easier speak freely about your child if they do not attend the initial appointment. This is particulaly useful if we are discussing anxiety or behavioural issues. We can also offer flexible options around delivery- and cover partial information and then follow up either via phone or email if needed.
Yes absolutely! Once we identify any nutritional deficiencies we can actively work out a plan that is acheivable and stress-free. This can look like a gradual introduction of textures and ideas, and can be totally food based, or we can employ supplements to support the journey.
