6 Week Detox & Weightloss Challenge
For years I’ve been feeling blah - my brain felt foggy and slow, my body felt slow, I felt tired ALL the time. And I wasn’t sleeping well.
I already knew I was gluten free and can only have limited amounts of dairy. What I didn’t know is that gf substitutes for bread and pasta, etc, were so bad for me. They slowed down my entire system and I didn’t know! I had a slice of bread every morning with eggs for breakfast. I thought I may be intolerant to eggs, nope, it’s the gf stuff.
I think about half way through the program I really noticed that my brain was sharper, I wasn’t tired all the time and even when I was at my most tired, I was still mentally sharp. I had energy, I started sleeping better, and (this one blew my mind) except on really windy days, my hay fever went away! I was on daily antihistamines which didn’t always work reliably. And I lost weight - I couldn’t tell you how much, but it was noticeable in my face.
I think the thing I found most helpful were the tasty recipes. I’ve done a program before where the person running it looked at food as fuel, it was plain and tasteless and I kept cheating because I didn’t feel satisfied. To be fair, I was really ready to do this, but wouldn’t have followed through if it wasn’t structured the way it was.
